The Rising Network enables youth musicians to excel in their future careers by providing them with networking opportunities, group mentoring and expert knowledge from industry professionals.

​

Led by live performance specialist Aly Duff from BackBeat Collective, with support from youth musician Amy Wheeler, the aim is to nurture musicians with an additional programme of support in the lead up to the festival.

Every artist needs a solid foundation, and that starts with understanding how to navigate the world of management. This session will dive into the ins and outs of finding the right manager and what they can do to elevate your music career. Learn what to look for, how to approach potential managers, and when it's time to take the next big step.

Get Inspired by a band that's living the dream and making waves in the industry. From performing at major festivals to working hard to break into the competitive music scene, they'll share their stories of triumphs, challenges, and lessons learned along the way. This is your chance to hear firsthand what it takes to go from local gigs to the big stage.

Putting it all together

Whether it's an intimate acoustic set or a festival-sized crowd, preparation is key to a killer performance. This session will focus on how to set up your shows, adapt to different types of gigs, and ensure you're ready for anything the stage throws your way. From creating memorable set-lists to handling sound checks and unexpected challenges, this is the ultimate guide to performing with confidence. Our first heat of our Battle of The Bands competition, featuring six fresh acts, competing for the headline spot!

Similarly, our second heat features six more brilliant acts who will continue to battle out for the big prize.

The Final round will see the winning bands of each heat compete for one final time to win our headline spot. Other prizes up for grabs!

FAQ's

-Can I play at the festival without participating in the Battle Of The Bands/Workshops?

Yes, although we encourage you to get involved as much as possible.

-Can I play the festival if I am under 16?

Yes! Your parent/guardian will need to be present, we will contact you with a guest pass.

-When will I hear back from my application?

Keep an eye on your email as we will send out regular emails in line with your application. We aim to get back to you no later than the start of June.
